Our Story: From Garage to Global Leader

Optiwella’s journey began not in a corporate boardroom, but with a passion for connectivity. The company’s roots trace back to the early 2000s in Ada, Serbia, where founders Tamás Bakos and Albert Szirbik started a small residential internet service provider. Facing the high costs of building cable networks, they began searching for cost-effective alternatives to expensive new equipment.

Recognizing a gap in the market for reliable, high-quality used equipment, the duo pivoted from service provision to global trade. In 2011, Optiwella was officially founded, operating from a one-car garage.

By bypassing traditional distributor networks and mastering global logistics, Optiwella transformed from a local startup into a key player in the global telecommunications market.
