F@st 5460 High Performance Triple Play Home Gateway

The Sagemcom F@st 5460 WLAN Gateway is one of the first 11ac EuroDOCSIS 3.0 gateways. It is suitable for use at home, in a home office, or in a small business, and connects your computers and network devices to the Internet.

The F@st 5460 WLAN Gateway combines high-speed Internet access, networking, and computer security for a home network or small office LAN. It provides the following functions:

• Combination of five separate products in one compact device – a EuroDOCSIS 3.0 cable modem, IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ac wireless access, Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base-T connections, VoIP Internet telephony, and a firewall.
• An internal high-speed cable modem for permanent broadband access to the Internet and other online services, offering significantly faster data transmission than traditional dial-up or ISDN modems.
• A powerful firewall protecting against unwanted attacks from the Internet. It supports Stateful Inspection, intrusion detection, DMZ, Network Address Translation (NAT), and protection against Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks.
• A broadband connection for up to 253 computers.
• Four 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet uplink ports supporting half- or full-duplex connections with Auto MDI-X capability.
• IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless connectivity, allowing users to access the Internet or local network without cabling. WLAN speed may vary depending on the distance to the gateway.
• The FAST5460 supports Wi-Fi in 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz dual-band mode.
• Secure WLAN connectivity for Wi-Fi-enabled devices in the network—such as mobile phones, laptops, printers, PDAs, and desktop PCs—through modern encryption standards like WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK.
• Routing for wireless or wired Ethernet connections; you can use your local network with more than four computers by using one or more switches.
• An integrated DHCP server for easy configuration of a wired or wireless network.
• Virtual Private Network (VPN) pass-through operation for remote connections. Supported protocols: IPSec, PPTP, or L2TP.
• The F@st 5460 offers a graphical user interface (GUI) for easy configuration of required WLAN, Ethernet, router, DHCP, and security settings.
